Default Question about thermostat housing

When you are reinstalling the thermostat housing neck do you need to put honda bond on it to seal it?

If the the thermostat has been sitting there for awhile it could get stuck and wont up.I boiled mine so it opens and then re-install to make sure it works.

I never did, it sealed fine.
