QUESTION ABOUT THERMOSTAT !
so i changed on of my hose of the radiator the lower one and i put the coolant in made sure no air in the system then i left it on for like 10 min then the top hose got hot kinda hot and the bottom one was still warm and then i took it for a drive and drove fine i hit boost and stilll fine then i got home driving slow and started overheating agan then the needle stayed like 3/4 of the way to the H and both of the hoses were kinda hot do you guys think its my thermostat thats bad ???? need help !!!!!!
and also i took it for a drive out today and then needle was just at half and i turned on the heater full blast and it keeped it a little bit under just perfect does that mean my fan isnt turning on when its suppose to
Using the heater will always help drop engine temperature.
Have you checked to see if your rad fan is on, [running] when gauge indicates engine temp. is high?
Overheating only when stopped or moving slowly is an indication of a rad fan not working, at speed there is enough air movement that the fan is not needed. 94
