Question about Piston rings, order of installation
I have a set of Wisco/Endyn pistons.
Ring set has four rings:
gold (looks like copper) ring
two thin black rings
and one thick black ring
oil ring
I installed the oil ring already
There are three grooves still in the piston. What order do the rings for from top to bottom. Thanks a lot.

first groove - TOP = first compression... (the thickest one)
second groove - SECOND = second compression... (a bit thinner than the first)
third groove - BOTTOM = first oil ring spacer (the thin one), next in the same groove = oil ring, next also in the same groove = second oil ring spacer (the other thin one)
Remember to offset each ring 90 degrees from the other ... Good Luck

I can't remember the orientation, but the top two rings (or is it just teh top compression ring) have up/down orientation. One side has to face up to properly seal as the piston travels up/down.
Also, never place the ring gaps on thrust sides.
