just need some extra reassurance here...
lets get this straight. im taking out my b20vtec and swapping in a b18a(no vtec). i should not expect any surprises correct? ALSO, i plan on using the b16a throttle body on the b18a manifold, aswell as the alternator from my b20vtec setup. am i still in the green? agin, this is a 98 usdm LS motor.....

another question:
on the b16 throttle body i plan to use there is a hose running into the intake manifold. i would like to use that on my ls mani except there is no connection where the hose should go.

i hope you can see from the pics what i am talking about. this hose runs from the throttle body right into the intake manifold next to the last runner

lets see if i understand this.
the hose running off of my throttle b. is the FITV. this is not a vacuume hose but a coolant hose. since my mani doesnt have an IACV(there is no place to adapt the hose on the manifold) i just tap a coolant line and i will be fine.

yes, or you can block it off and run no lines, builds better hp, cooler intake charge, but yopu awill have to warm up your car when its cold or it wont idle. Otherwise run both sides of the fitv into coolant hoses
