Default question about intakes

When puttin in an intake like aem systems. When you get to mounting that like metal wire that holds upfilter do you need that or where do you bolt that in? I have 97 accord thanks dx .

okay well when you put on an intake kit. The part where you put air filter on the pipe i saw that kits come with this like bending sheet metal to hold it up my question is do you need that if it's an short ram intake on 97 accord?

If your kit has the bracket welded you should make use of it to keep the filter from banging around. The bracket is not, however, vital to the functionality of your motor
