Default question about how much to torque to apply to the rod bolts !!!!

how much to torque to apply to the rod bolts !!!! I ask my teacher and he said there is a special amount of torque that u apply with a torquimeter to the bolts that hold the rod with the crank ?? any clue

I hope you torque your mains let alone everything else to proper specs...


If they are ARP rod bolts on the rods you pictured there should of been a instrustion sheet come...

14 ft/lbs 1st then 23 ft/lbs on STOCK gsr rods

use a rod bolt stretch gauge...the most accurate way of torquing the bolts

normally you use a torque wrench.

23 ft/lbs ? I could swear it's 28 ft/lbs for gsr eagles.

I recommend you contact arp directly tho... they will give you the info no problem. Torque specs are something you need to be definite about.
