Question about Eagle Rods
I remember reading something about having to modify my block in order to run Eagle rods because they were too wide or something. I'm not sure if the source was good or not. Does anyone know if this is true? I have a B18c1 bored out to 84 mil.
You shouldnt have to modify anything on your block unless your running some crazy stroker crank where the rods may hit the block. If the rods are for a gsr then they should fit a gsr just fine.Same for LS and B16's.
You may be thinking about using aftermarket rods with STOCK pistons. In that case, most aftermarket rods are bigger and will have to be shaved to fit the narrower stock piston.Or you can mod the piston to accept the thicker rod...
Ive used Eagle rods in all my engine builds and am always satisfied with their performance.

Hey Thanks. I'm planning to run aftermarket pistons, but I rember someone having to notch their block to run Eagles in a D series. I figured I'd make sure.
