question about eagle rods

Default question about eagle rods

i recently orderd a set of eagle rods and i have heard from someone that they dont clear the bottom of the stock sleeve and that you have to machine out the bottom to fit.....i need proof like tell me u have a gsr motor with eagle rods and u had no problems

As far as I know that problem is only on the SOHC engines. I'm sure someone with actual knowledge will post and confirm this.

I believe dust is correct, you have to notch the bottom of the sleeves to run eagles OR crowers on the D series blocks. I know several people that have run the GSR eagle rods without notching anything.

You also have to knotch the girdle if you plan on running a girdle on any Ls block... unless you run the z10 setup...

Other wise... gsr rods will run perfectly in a gsr motor...
