Lots of things can make a car run rich. Some purposely by design to improve cold operation, some by component failure, some by lack of maintenance.
BTW... you'd probably get more responses to your "question" if you actually indicated the subject of your question in the post title like "Causes for running rich?", etc.

an improperly reading MAF sensor, O2 sensor, MAP sensor, leaking fuel injectors, faulty ignition coil, plugs, wires, faulty egr system, ect.... there are tons of things that can cause a rich condition. what type of prolbem are you having? what kind of car is it?
