Default Wideband Sensor Question

I have a techedge WB 2.0 that uses the vw sensor and assembled it, with good results. However, after working properly for a couple hours (when I was trying to get it to datalog on my Palm) the sensor seems to have gotten fouled from my car running VERY rich. Is it possible that it could get messed-up that quickly? Basically, it was reading 11.0:1 or so, and then after doing a WOT run through only part of second-gear, it started reading 9.06:1, and won't move from there, except when it is warming up, then returns to that exact value, even if the sensor is out of the car. I already torched it a bit and blew compressed air in there...any other suggestions?

Sounds like you've covered the possible fixes for it, what is the reccomended pinpoint test for? If that test fails too, then just replace it.

Just for inquiring minds...

The sensor was fine, I had a crossed connection (possibly) and fixed that...then I also just leaned the crap out of my idle and it started reading fine again. It seems it's possible to overload the sensor (with an overly rick condition) without actually fouling it.

Datalogging and tuning in effect
