Default Quaife.

I don't have a honda, but i know many of you can be helpful and informative.

i have a quaife awaiting installation, what else should i do to beef up the tranny while it's out of the car already? bolt kit, etc.?

Na, you pretty much cant/dont need to do anything to beef it up more. You might consider checking out the condition of the synchros though.

Can't you use uprated bearings to replace the stock ones?

Stock Honda bearings are excellent. I've heard that most of the top racers use all stock Honda bearings.

He's not asking about a honda...

What car is the quaife going in? Maybe someone can give you a more educated answer.

to me... I've heard good things about ACL bearings, however. You could contact Rocket on this board for more info.
