I got a PYR chip for my PR3 ecu and when i rev over 8000 the check engine light begins flashing and doesnt stop till i turn the car off. There are no error codes from the ecu. The chip lets me rev to 8800. I have never seen the check engine light steadily flash on and off. Its either on or its off with a PR3 but this chip is different. Anyone know whats up with this? Is something wrong or is my chip giving me props for reving high?

 

Call PYR up and ask them what they did to there chips. Maybe they have somthing that makes your CEL flash when your suposed to shift of somthing. But if your not throughing any codes. It seems like its a bad chip.

 

I dont have a clue how to contact them. I just want to know what the flashing light means. I dont think its a bad chip. I verified the code and it happens at 8000 so I would think it must be a shift warning or something.

 

My chipped ECU gives a CEL that whenever the VTEC doesn't turn on and I rev past a certain point.
