Default Putting in an intake and need help...

I have a 96 accord ex vtec and i was trying to put in my intake yesterday. I got everything out except for this little box to the left of the battery. I'm not sure what this box is or what it does, but it has plugs that plug into it. I was kind of sceptical as to should I take it out or not.

The little block gets in the way of the intake pipe. The pipe could go where the block is, but i'm not sure what that block does.

What is this box and do I need it?

Does anyone have any step by step instructions to putting in my intake?

No you don't. You have a 96 accord ex VTEC.

Unbolt the old intake, install the new one [/shrug]

If there is something there with plugs... just leave it. You probably need it.
