Default Putting Carbs on a D16Y8

I was wondering how I could install carbs on my D16Y8. I don't know if it's possible or if vtec will work if I do. I also don't know what I would do about the rest of the ECU system other then the fuel part. I know it sounds crazy. If anyone knows anything about this let me know.

i think you would get more bang for your buck if you went individual throttlebodies.

I have never seen anyone use a traditional carb on a honda engine (i'm sure someone has, though). An ITB is usually not streetable, because it's suited for WOT. It eliminates the intake manifold, throttle body and air cleaner assembly. Pretty much the closest you can get to having no intake manifold, cylinders will get a lot of air at high RPM. Low RPM will suffer. Each cylinder will have its own little trumpet as a runner with a fuel injector. It will require EMS, and it's expensive unless you jerry rig it yourself. You'd probably have better luck using a carb, but I don't see any benefit in that, either. Fuel injection will be more precise, and it's highly tunable. I don't see a honda engine running good with a carb.

My EMS of choice is the oem Obd1 Ecu and Crome. Way cheaper than an aftermarket EMS. Like AEM etc...

Interesting, but I still don't know why they would go through all that trouble to decrease their fuel volume precision. Another thing I would be worried about is smog testing.
