some prefer chromoly becuase aluminum is 2 pieced and could come apart at high rpm and explode of course not all do that lol

i have a lot of experience with xtd clutches/flywheels, get the stage II minimum for a b16b, i got the stage III for mine but its not a daily. and regarding warpage, for the price its not an issue, when its time to get a new clutch toss the flywheel and get another one. its only $280 for clutch AND 8lb flywheel.

now to address disadvantages, i kind of wish i didnt get the flywheel, cause now if i dont shift perfectly at redline i'll fall out of vtec cause the revs drop faster. so i end up hitting the rev limiter or falling out of vtec, kinda sucks if its your daily, if you plan to increase your rev limit to say 9000rpm and get cams this wont be an issue. also i have to baby shift into 3rd cause it grinds and my revs drop A LOT now. it should be noted that i also have an N1 crank pulley that may be worsening the issue. HOWEVER, i decided to turbo my car so i wont be having any of these problems anymore, cause no matter how much i baby shift i wont fall out of boost.

advantages: it certainly does rev faster, gives better throttle response, if you have cams, a higher redline, and you dont mind shifting fast you'll love it.

good luck bro now that im turboing my car, i dont regret the purchase anymore.

They will warp and maybe fly off if you don't torque them down and use locktite. The best aluminum flywheels are the ones that come with a torque plate to distribute the torque from the bolts...personaly I don't like Aluminum flywheels.
