Default Propane Torch on Caliper Bracket Bolts

Can anyone give me an idea of how to use a torch to help loosen the caliper bracket bolts that mount the bracket to the knuckle. A good soaking of PB blaster and my breaker bar isn't working. Have never used a torch before and want to make sure I dont melt my lower balljoint boot or something. Was just going to use propane torch.

East coast car? Ive never come across seized caliper bracket bolts (lucky I guess?). Some times I use my impact gun, other times I use my 1/2" ratchet. Have you tried an impact gun?

Not lucky enough to have a garage and air tools unfortunately.

get a propane torch from Home Depot, it works had to do it a few times on my car. heat it up till it starts to glow alittle and you will be good to go. just keep an eye on where you are pointing the flame and you will have no worries

You can also heat it till it glows and stuff a chunk of paraffin wax into it. The wax gets wicked into the threads and will help you loosen it.

Just warm it up. No need to get something like that red hot. Chances are it's not all that stuck, you just need to muscle it a little more.
