hey sup guys i have this weird problem i have a eg witha type r motor in it it runs good but every computer i put in reacts differently for ex: my chipped out p28 has no redline but v tec opens at 6500 i put the same computer in my brothers car it opens vtec at 6 grand now i take my brothers chipped p28 and put it in my car it pulls like crazy but it redlines at 8200 meanwhile in his car it has no redline weird could it be my distributor or maybe since i have a 2000 engine harness its acting up i dunno HELP!!!!

how are you judging when vtec kicks in? By ear? That's no good, also consider the factory tach is not always that accurate.

And as far as redline, there are hot and cold redline points, maybe that has something to do with it.

also there is a lower redline if vtec system is not engaging due to VTM sensor.

thanks for the info i think ur absolutly rite im gonna put my monster tach on this week and see what happens im judging by the stock rpm guage which may be a lil off not sure once again thanks
