Default problems following distributer installation

I installed a replacement Hitachi distributer this evening on my F22B1... However, now my powerband is all screwey, no low end power whatsoever... I'm assuming its my ignition timing... so how do I set it back to the OEM ignition timing setting (aside from my cam timing setting)? do i have to use a timing gun? help!

Yes, use a timing gun and set it to stock ignition timing. Do a search for how to do this, or if you have a friend with a timing gun, he/she can probably show you how to use it.

i think i rectified the problem by loosing the distributer bolts and rotating it... my ignition timing was way too retarded!!!

You STILL need to set it with a timing light to be sure. Don't want no stinkin detonation.
