Ok here's the situation. Don't know what the hell it is but I'll try to explain the best I can.
My friend and I got my b18c into my vx. We used the old vx wiring harness. Engine is in, no dash or cluster so I can't tell what codes are being thrown. Anyway we put the key in and turn it to the on position. That's when I hear a quick clicking or tapping type sound in the relay box on the drivers side floor. Sounds like it's also making a tapping in the rear under the gas tank or fuel pump?? It doesn't stop either until turned off. The vehicle also doesn't start yet I'm not sure what to do and I thought all the experience on this site should help. Anyway any suggestions ideas would help. We have checked all wiring and am pretty sure it's all correct. Haven't wired up the IAB and o2 sensors.

That is the EGR lift sensor with a cover on it. There should be a green sensor with vacuum lines coming off of it.

 

So do I need it ?? I haven't seen it really on any other cars. What's it do btw?

 

Anyone with the problem?? Fuel pump? Relay box?

Nope you will not need the EGR with a B18C swap. Just remove it off the firewall.

The EGR is for emissions and stands for "Exhaust Gas Recirculation"

 

As for the problem, I'm assuming the car runs, try swapping main relays with someone. And check your codes and wire up O2!

 

No car just keeps turning over.. no start.
