The following is a problem a friend of mine wanted me to post to see if anyone here could help.. any responses are appreciated..thanks

1991 integra, i/h/e..first gen b16a from jdm1.com

car feels sluggish some times and appears to not even have enough torque to chirp 2nd, car will just lose juice for no reason while driving, like if you stop and try to go it will raise in rpm but then bog out and the motor will cut off
and then you try to start it at first it will turn over for a sec and then die again
after about a min it will start back up though...

 

ok...lets go through the basics...

Have you checked ignition & cam sprocket timing (TDC)??

Are you getting any check engine lights at all?

Have you done a compression check on the block?

Is your clutch new, fairly new, used, or old?

 

engine hasnt been touched since getting it from jdm1.com

 

uhh..maybe you should take the initiative and basically tune your engine. I get the impression you don't work on your own car, for some reason.

do a tune up!

spark plugs
spark plug wires
cap and rotor
oil change
check your timing

and also throw some fuel injection cleaner in, and clean out the intake manifold, it might be really dirty
