ok heres the problem me and my friend are haveing. he has a 97 obd2 itr motor in his 94 teg ls obd1. we used an obd1 harness and switched the dizzy adn ecu to obd1 also. wired it all up for vtec soiliond and knock sensor and had the ecu chipped for the motor now the ecu is a pr3 -j01 so i dont know if thats teh problem its for a b16 obd1 but. the obd2 motor has no vtec oil pressure swtich. and i had a friend use an obd1 ecu in his obd2 car and he threw the same check engine light we are (code 22) for vtec oil pressure and his vtec still turned over. we took the wire for the oil pressure and grounded out after that we took it for a ride vtec turned over once then wouldnt anymore. so we swtiched ecu with my spoon p72 and vtec turns over again but sometiems shuts off but will turn over more then his ecu. his ecu will only turn over after u turn the car off adn start it then take it for a drive turns over once then thats it. we cant figure out why vtec will not be constant. we thionk the ecu can be the problem with not beiing chipped wrong cuz its a custom program or the ecu is fucked but why would it still turn off sometimes with my ecu ? adn the only check engine is 22

maybe the system for the vtec is off or not right,maybe theres a wire problem somewhere..im not sure

? its only one wire for the vtec soliond adn 2 for oil pressure but we dont haev oil pressue on the obd2 motor

 

whatever dood...im talkin about the part that turns the vtec on

theres gotta be someone with a problem like this. it doenst shut off anymore when running the p72 spoon ecu but its mine so ill be taking it back but we put a p28 chipped ecu in and it turned off in 4th gear that seems tto be the spot after 4th it shuts off

how u figure it still shuts off and its the wrong ecu plus its MY ecu and i need it abck but it still doesnt work with a p28 so how did i answer my problem
