Myself and a friend fitted a new engine to another friends EK4 VTi, his original B16A2 was shot and burning a quart of oil a day and he got this engine real cheap (thats probably part of the problem) Anyway, it was a straight out with old and in with the new engine job and there were no problems fitting it until we came to try and start the car. 1st problem was CEL came on after driving a while, pulled the code and it was the O2 sensor, so we swapped it for another one and tried again, now a new problem has presented itself. When you switch on the ignition, the ABS light comes on (which is natural) except the CEL wont come on until the ABS light goes out, then the CEL stays on all the time. Pulled the code again and were getting a solid CEL (problem with the ECU) so swapped in my JDM P73 (just to eliminate a problem with the EK4 ECU) and the same thing happens. The car starts and drives but the CEL is on all the time and no VTEC. We checked all connections, cleaned all grounding points, cheked the oil level, everything and cant figure out what the hell the problem is, as we cant get a damn code to show for an engine problem
