Prelude won't move.
Ok, my 93 prelude si is suffering from some malady that's beyond my scope as a driveway mechanic. About a week ago, one of my friends sat in my car and went to put it in gear, and it made a pop, so he shut it off. He neglected to tell me about it at the time, and the following day when I went to go to work, suddenly my car won't move. After asking my friend about it, he told me what had happened the night before.
This past Friday, I had some time, and I replaced the clutch, which was long overdue anyhow. I got it back together, and the car still doesn't move. You put the car in gear, let out the clutch, and press the gas, the tach climbs, but the car doesn't move. I quit for the day, because I was frustrated, and it was about 100 degrees outside.
Saturday, I raised the car back up, pulled the wheels off, checked both axles to make sure they were in all the way, and then proceeded to pull them out, on a hunch. I had a friend start the car, and shut it off, while I watched the differential. It spins with the motor. Put the axles in, they don't spin.
I'm completely lost on this one, and any suggestions would be appreciated.

broken axle inside a joint.
if the differental spins but the axle dosent, you have a broken axle
the differental did spin when it was in gear right? and it accelerated? (meaning didnt just barley move)

Yes it span while in gear, and accelerated with the throttle. The axles are both fine, i replaced them both when I put the new clutch in. The same thought had already occured to me, and I took the brand new axles back and exchanged them both again. Thanks for the suggestion, though. Any others?

and if they ARE i think your gonna have to drop the transmission and crack it open, could be a serious problem.
