pr3 chip acting weird????
hey i got a pr3 ecu on my lsvtec and none of the vtec wires r run yet...i got 3 chips a mugen...spoon...and a toda chip...the mugen 1 runs like **** and the other 2 the ...the red led on the ecu stays on steady....wtf??? and only revs to 3500...both the spoon and toda chip does this...whats wrong???is it cuz i dont have the vtec wires hooked up yet or what...?????????????????????
anybody know??? is it the chip s bad or is it in limp mode were i dont have the other wires hooked up?? the red led stays on steady...no flashin...just stays on...wtf????
A steady red light mean an internal problem in the ecu. It sounds like the chips you have are bad. The 3500 rpm rev limiter is the ecu in limp mode, running off the backup maps. It means it's really pissed. I really wouldn't run some unknown chips in there, it's a good way to break something. Put the stock chip back in, finish the wiring and get it tuned the right way.
the chips r from hyper duct tunning....the mugen chip runs good...but the toda and spoon chip r in limp mode...must be bad chips....
Are you putting the chips in the right way? If you are, and 1 of the 3 chips work, then the 2 that are bad likely have a bad bin (program) or are defective. Finish your wiring too. I never understood why people don't finish their wiring before screwing with stuff. I see you're located in Canada. I can burn 29C256 chips for the PR3, so if you're in the vancouver area I can maybe help you out.
