PR3-1 Head What Year?
I'm trying to help another member out, he needs to figure out what distributor he needs for his LS/V. He tells me he has a PR3-1 head which I assume is a B16A head but is it A3 or A2 or what? JDM maybe? This is the info I have come up with but it's not cut-and-dry, I have included a pic of my head # for an example:
PR4/P75 - B18B/B20
P72/GSR - B18C(1)
P30/PR3/P73 - B16 OBD0 - B16 OBDI/II - ITR
(I believe this info is correct, someone please chime in if it's not)
Head # can be found above and to the right of cylinder #2 exhaust port.
Mine is a 92-95 SiR-II B16A PR3
PR4/P75 - B18B/B20
P72/GSR - B18C(1)
P30/PR3/P73 - B16 OBD0 - B16 OBDI/II - ITR

if the CAR is obd0 he needs an obd0 vtec dizzy
if the CAR is a different obd he needs THAT obd dizzy.
the motor doesnt give a **** what dizzy its got. its about the wiring thats in the rest of the car.
for example i dropped an obd1 b16a sirII in my 89 civic and used and obd0 distributer because the car ran obd0 and i was using and obd0 ecu.

Ditto what ^^ he said...
SO whatever year the vehicle is will dictate what OBD type the distributor needs to be. Just make sure its a B-series VTEC dizzy. A B-series NON-VTEC dizzy will NOT work (read: will not bolt up to a VTEC head because of mounting leg pattern differences).
If you're not sure about what vehicle year you have, here's a break down:
88-91 = OBD0
92-95 = OBD1
96-98 (civic) / 96-99 (integra) = OBD2a
99-00 (civic) / 00-01 (integra) = OBD2b
hope this helps

yeah, looks like you need the older 89-91 OBD0 B16A distributor aka first gen B16.
The US honda/acura market never saw OBD0 DOHC VTEC engine only OBD1 and higher engines.
