i have a 1990 integra ls-vech what kind of distributor do i get ??

 

you need the one that matches the head that your using so if you got a b16 head (which i asume cause thats what everyone uses) you need to find a b16 dizzy.

is there any way i can find out what type of v-tech head i got b/c i bought the car already ls-v

 

ther should be a code on the head somewhere.

 

PR4/P75 - B18B/B20
P72/GSR - B18C(1)
P30/PR3/P73 - B16 OBD0 - B16 OBDI/II - ITR

Head # can be found above and to the right of cylinder #2 exhaust port.

Mine is a 92-95 SiR-II B16A PR3

i just checked my head and it says pr3-1 what type is that

 

You need to tell us if the distributor plugs are currently grey or mily white/clear.

Grey = OBD1, and you need to roder the distibutor for a 1992/1993 Integra GS-R which is a part number TD44.

Milky white/clear = OBD0 and you need to roder a JDM OBD0 "first-gen" B16A distributor with part number TD22U

The head type doesn't matter at all - the B16A head will accept a OBD0, OBD1, or even OBD2 distibutor - the bolt pattern/body is all the same for B series VTEC. It's the internals and plugs that make the difference.



By the way Distributor King/Richporter technologies makes the best brand new replacement distributors for our cars. They can be found online and on Ebay most likely. Google "Distributor King Richporter" and see what you get, then order either part number I listed above depending on which OBD type you have.

Well if you're trying to be picky then you both forgot the "T" in "VTEC" but you obviously know what he meant.

A guy with 50 posts busts in trying to make someone else feel stupid...
