Power windows not working, HELP!
Hey all, i am having some problems with my power windows and i was wondering if this fine community could offer some help. Both rear windows will not go up or down neither by my master switch on the drivers side or by their own individual switches. I believe they are receiving power because when i press the switches the light in the cabin dim down and i think i her a clicking in the respective window. Also the two windows in the front work but they function very very slowly and during cold or rainy weather they will go down but stay stuck and i will have to assist the motor by pulling the window back up as a pull the switch upwards. what problems am i looking at here? any tip on further diagnosing the problem. i appreciate all the help, thanks.
check how much voltage is coming through and double check all your wiring to have clean connections. make sure your fuses are the correct amperage. being that the lights dim down sounds like your power source is dying slowly, remember that your alternator charges the battery to stay 12v's, as for your window dilemma, if you have to assist your windows in the front, your window motors are failing. the rears, if you can hear "clicking" the regulator assembly could be frozen along with motor to retract.
