Would this be a solution that is accepteble??

OR

would this be the right way to do it??

Wheigt is not a matter here.. ' Only the lasting and how hard it is going to be when you park or drive the car slowly.

#2 is the best way to do it if you keep the power rack, someone on this board sells the kit i forget who though. I just have mine looped without a breather but i am getting a manual rack.

The first way works, I ran my car like that for awhile.

Eventually switched it for a loop system, which I bought through padawan on this site. Looped is much MUCH better.

Whats the difference between the first option and the 2nd.?? both are looped with a reservoir.. only difference I see is that the number 1 has got longer hoses.. and it could therefor be harder to force the fluid around...... Or am I wrong??

ok.. thanks.. But how much difference is there when turning the wheels?? Is it the same, or would it be easier with the No, 2 solution???

looks like you are making more work of it then it's worth. just remove all the lines and make a loop @ the rack after you empty all the fluid.... you don't need a resevoir. you could probably just cap those two holes but i'd be interested to know if it was much harder to stear since it couldn't move any air when you cut the wheel.

-Erik <---- looped it with 6" of hose, no fluid, no resevoir, no problems...1

sounds interesting.. could you post some pics, or send them : vtec@stribnet.dk

I think I will try the easy way first just to see what the difference is.

the difference would be the same as just removing the belt from the ps pump.....

would that be much harder or almost the same..??
On a scale from 1-10 where 10 is the easy way done, where would the loop/reservoir solution be???

i don't understand your question. if you are just wanting an easy way to "disable" your ps then take the belt off. if you want to remove it the correct way, get a manual rack. if you wanna remove all the stuff but are poor like me then just remove everything and loop the two spots on your rack that fluid enters/exits.....

I vote for the second option.

Heres a link to help you out. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=184202

If its good for realtime racing, then its good for me.

Good Luck.

you guys quit whining and just do this. it makes no sense to go through all the trouble of splicing this, zip tieing this, duck taping this, removing this, yada yada yada. just do like that picture from the link and drive it. that's how mine is done, that's how everyone else i know has done theirs... and nobody has any problems... period
