so lets say one took off his throttle body (unhooked all sensors & hoses) to get to the FITV for cleaning and then laid the throttle body with the sensors still on the tb over the battery.. both - & + terminals connect via the tb and sparks everywhere! think the sensors are damaged or anything else for that matter? hypothetically of course

 

ouch,......obvious but have u checked the battery fuse??? have u tried re-starting the car yet? people have done worse, alot worse..

 

nah i haven't tried to "start" the car.. i gotta get the tb back on tomorrow when i get a gasket and a new hose too.. but maybe i can go in there and try to see if the accessories come on

ya think? it was an optima yellow top if that matters any.. heh. i just hope those sensors weren't messed up.. even though they weren't pluged into the harness or anything.

 

Look for damage where the arcing was. Holes burned into any gasket surface to make a vacuum leak??

You'll find out soon enough about the sensors, it'll throw CEL codes for that.
