Default possible leaky headgasket

Here is the problem. My car starts to overheat at idle. It only does it while it's at an idle. I did a search on the problem and the only thing it looks like could be the problem is a leaky headgasket but I want to be sure before I go replacing it. I checked the radiator hoses and both hoses are hot, The fan comes on when it is supposed to, and there are no leaks in the radiator itself. In fact there are absolutely no visible leaks anywhere. However I am somehow loosing coolant in the overflow tank and have to keep refilling it after driving. I don't know where it is going. If there is anything else that it could be I would appreciate the feedback.
