possible i bought a stolen ecu?
i found this guy from a friend of a friend. he sold me a p72 & pr3 ecu for $200 for both. of course i bought it, but wondering why it's cheap. i know he has a complete b16a1 changeover, so i'm not worry about the pr3. he does lots of swaps, so it could be from his customer, just didn't have the ***** to ask. is there any way i can check the p72 if it's legit or not?
yeah if it works what's the difference...now if you bought a stolen motor that's another story.
I mean it sucks if it is HOT, cuz I hate ****** thieves and stolen **** but there's no way that it can be traced or you could get in trouble for if that's what your worried about...

..yes, that is possible to find out IF the VIN number of the vehicle the ecu orginally came from is somehow seen within the ecu programming while she smog guy runs it through a system check...or some kind of data logging procedure.
