Default porting intake manifold

i am swaping my motor and was told to port and polish my intake manifold. what is the best way of doing so. And how much will it make my engine perform better?

Its the B-18A1. from a 91 RS. my buddy drove it through a big puddly and sucked up water, then blew a piston out the bottom. so i have another motor head and block, so i am in the middle of yanking the old motor out.

As poor as a b18a manifold is,you won't see any gains by porting the intake manifold.
