if you're going to P&P you better know exactly what you want out of the motor. FI or NA? the above link is good...also check out the tech articles on http://www.hondavision.com
The only way to take full advantage of a port and polish is with a cam. You can actually hurt power by not adding a cam. Put that money toward your turbo fund. You'll be way more impressed with your turbo than you would a ported head on a non-vtec motor. Even though, vtec motors can run 11's without a port and polish, so dont be so sure you need one.
well, i just ordered a set of crower 404 cams for my ls, and i am orering the dual valve springs and titanuim retainers in a couple days also, and i plan on saving up for my turbo kit over the winter

keep ur money, its not worth it with ur setup (which is basically nothing). if u were runnin 11s and needed that extra edge, then do it. until then, save ur money.
so its not really that much of a difference?? thats kinda what i thought also, cuz im not pushing like 350 HP through my head, so i wouldnt think the air would be slowed down that much in an otherwise stock head, but thatnks for your help man, later
like i said, if ur lookin for that last extra ounce of power do it. but with the setup u have its not worth the $850 bones u will shell out for it. money can b better spent elsewhere. its all about hype. do u know how long stephan papadakis was runnin a non ported head on his turboed H22. i dont know exactly either but it was forever.

P&P always is a good idea. simply to remove the casting imperfections. do it yourself, or pay someone to do it (but not 850!!) at least portmatch. even if you don't have a wilder cam. polish the cambers as well, again to remove the casting marks, but be careful around the valve seats.
and yes, a good turbo cam will always help your FI.
