Default Port and Polish Q

Whats up guys! I'm learning about p&p and my question is does the exhaust side need to be POLISH not port to really gain power becuz I got 2 dumbass in my class debating about and stressing the importance of p&p the exhaust side and not p&p the exhaust side becuz it helps a little w/ backpressure. Looking forward to doing a p&p w/ my head. any comment greatly appreciated.

Ive heard that the exhaust side should be port and polished but the intake side should just be ported. But ive also heard that any port and polish is pretty much useless without a good valve job.

i'd say p&p both intake and exhaust. just take your time and details count. and you should get some good power.

If someone thinks backpressure is a good thing they need to hit the books. There is not really any good reason that an engine should want back pressure. The conditions that most people equate with "restriction" and "backpressure" are those that increase velocity at certain levels of airflow.
