Default poorman type r

what needs to be done? all the things i've searched for here came up with nothing. i have a 95 b18c1 block and tranny and want to get a b16 head with p30 pistons. if the head is OBD-0, is there any modification needed? and what about the head gasket....which head gasket do i need (the b16 or gsr)??? i'll also be using the 95 gsr distributor. thanks...im pretty new to the rebuilding motor scene so any input will be appreciated.

ohh yeah...whats the difference if i use a b16a2 head? i cant get a hold of a b16a3 head so im choosing between the b16a and the b16a2 head. does the obd-0 and obd-2 matter?

the ob2 and ob0 and ob1 realy is just in the fuel. all the heads are compatable. the differenece is just the o2 and the injector clips. and the disturator. depending on wat harness you are using. i have a gsr head on a b18b. i got an LS head gasket so i assume that you need a gsr head gasket. but im nto sure about that, check up on that

You can use a b16 / GSR or type r head gasket will work. You might as well just get a Cometic one. The GSR distributor will work. You'll need a Type R header. You'll need a set of obd1 injectors. I have a perfect working pair. My friend did one using:
95 GSR block w/ ITR rods, Pistons, GSR water pump, GSR timing belt
91 b16 head w/ ITR cams & valvetrain, 95 GSR dist and a GSR headgasket
Came out pretty good. Runs damb strong. He also has intake head exhaust, sk2 intake mani, STR 70mm TB and DC 4-1 header and its tuned.

if you know how to do stuff youself, heres a really cheap way to get injectors tha are over 310cc for cheap. go to the salvage yard and find a N/A Supra, one of the 89s or so and take the injectors with the clips. all you have to do is rewire the clip to the harness. remeber when you do that, flip the wiring on the injectors because its backwards from honda. i run a set of those and they work perfectly fine. just a cheap way of saving lots of money

Thanks for the current info. I'll look into getting a GSR headgasket. I'm using the OBD-1 wire harness so i might as well use the 95 gsr distributor. Any one else on anything? Thanks again.
