you need gsr, the itr and b16 has the same head casing, and itr uses longer headstuds because of the longer block. I dont think head gasket is a factor, b16s,b18cs, uses the same head gasket.

GSR is correct. GSR and LS Blocks needs GSR headstuds no matter what VTEC head. I think the same goes with b20's but not too sure

He need gsr head studs. Get the head studs meant for the block and not the head.

Unless you do something like ls head with a GSR block then you need ls headstuds but who would do that lol

this does not apply for all setups...when doing ls vtec's you need studs for whichever head you are using..i did a b20vtec and i used gsr headstuds..not the b20..but why we debting..the OP's not even responding...

I think you may have mis worded since you know what's going on. With all LS VTECs and B20 VTECs, you use GSR head studs no matter what VTEC head is used.

It's determined by how the heads are setup since ls head studs have a few longer ones than others because the head doesn't have all of the locations for the bolts at the same height. If you used LS head studs, a few would either be too long or too short, not sure which

yeah, most people just buy the headstuds for a GSR instead of piecing them together and GSR and ITR should be the same studs

Start from the middle of the head and work your way out when tightening
