Default polishing q's

ok i'm bored and i want to polish a few motor related items. how would i go about doing this on say an intake (still have to strip the paint) and say something like an intake mani? i have a dremel, various sanders and also the use of a shop with compressed air. so lets hear it guys.

You need to strip all the paint off, then you need to sand it with a high grit of sand paper then start buffering all the scratches out, then if your still not happy you can re sand and rebuff it. Takes a long time and patients to get it to look good and right.
