Default plug on back of block(what is it?!)

on a b16SIR1, its got 2 terminals coming out of the block. its near the oil filter. i need to know what this is, and if the wires on it canl be flipped...... the rubber boot that was over the plug ripped apart so now im left with 2 wires and 2 plugs for this one sensor.

Thats the thermal switch and like any ordinary switch, it does not matter which way the wires connect.. don't worry about the boot, but do seal up the wires using a silicone sealant to protect the wires from moisture... the one pin sensor located next to that would be the oil pressure switch...
