please identify these cams
i got these cams off a friend and he said they are aftermarket which they look to be cus of the color and coating but have no ideal what brand they are,so can someone tell me what kind of cam these are.the intake cam has a 0096 stamp and the exhaust has a 00 stamp. http://www.imagestation.com/al...age=Y
yeah first gen b16 cams have no engraved or protruding rings. I have a 1st gen b16 and replaced them with CTR and ITR cams. you can check out the info on FF-squad to in their vtec cam guide it has nice pics of the no ringed 1st gen b16 cams. where in detail you can see they have no rings.

havew you ever experienced tis first hand or are you going by what your friend told you
i have used crower cams for YEARS on every engine i have ever built (essentially)
given almost all of these cams were on chevy engines, I have never seen a single problem with them and we have built 1000hp+ engines
edit: I will also installing a set of 404's or 405's on my n/a LS build
