Default Please help newbie here

I pulled a code #14 Iac valve from my civic is there a way to fix the valve or just change it? I put in a jg throttle body and my Iac went bad all of a sudden. Is there a way to reset the engine light with out a scan tool? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
