Default ecu code and resetting

i haven't had my 2000 civic si long and i haven't had a civic before so im new to how things r done especially newer ones...so im wonderin how to get the codes from the ecu and how to reset the ecu(without unplugin the battery for long) so if u guys can give me some tips on it i would be happy...thanx

thanx but how bout resetting the ecu....besides unplug battery for long time...ne ideas on that?

I am not sure on the newer cars, but on my 91 hatch all I have to do is pull the hazard fuse in the engine bay for a couple seconds and put it right back. It did the trick for me a couple of times.
