Why not just run a 94-95 GSR ECU?
It will all be plug and play and you won't have to mess with all the OBDII crap..........

DO NOT remove the wiring harrnes from the motor instaill it and plug in the GSR wiring to the civic wiring there will be a plug on the passanger side left over dont worry about that plug it for the crank sensor you dont need it

One of the engines I run in my 95 Civic EX is a 98 GSR. Use your engine wiring harness from your SI. Get a hold of a pre-96 B16 or GSR distributor and it will plug in. Use your SI injectors (240cc same as GSR) and they will plug into your harness. You will have to extend the oxygen sensor wiring and you may have to extend your VTEC solenoid and VTEC pressure sensor wires. Use your ECU, and have it chipped if you want to take full advantage of the GSR's power. With your ECU you won't need to use the knock sensor. Get the Skunk2 GSR manifold so you won't have to deal with the whole butterfly issue. I'm sure that I am forgetting something, but this should give you a good idea of how to proceed. Or you could go OBD2, but in my opinion, that would be a waste.

No No No No No!!!!!!!

You don't have to do ANY of that. The 98 GSR will plug in just fine. You will have to add the knock snesor wire, move pin A20 to A17 for the IAB and change the polarity of the IAB signal. (ill send you my swap research) THATS IT! NOTHING ELSE!!!

How do I know? I have a 98 GSR engine alive and well in my 92 SI. I did it myself and it works perfectly.
