please help diagnosis this irritating noise
Hi H-T,
I recently had my cluth replaced with a Exedy clutch kit and flywheel. Both master & slave cylinders also recently replaced. Ever since having the clutch kit installed, I've been getting this noise while the car is in gear, most notably when downshifting or coasting to a stop. I brought it back to the mechanic and they explained its not a transmission noise or anything with the clutch, but its my exhaust that is causing the noise. PLM headers, after-market cat (not sure the brand), and custom cat-back exhaust. Mechanic says exhaust is welded in some areas where there should be some flex. Exhaust not being able to flex in those areas is causing the noise. The mechanic is a really cool guy, but I always like to get more than one opinion. Could the Honda experts please chime in on what they believe this noise could be or actually is?? You can hear it slightly at the 1:51 video time frame and most notably at 10:11 video time frame. Please check it out and let me know your thoughts....video below.
Thanks in advance for any insight!!

definitely exhaust rattle. hard to tell where from since its a one dimensional sounds source though. throw a flex pipe in there and she should be fine.
Thx Vegas....will look at where to perhaps get one and see if the mechanic would be open to installing it. He suggested changing out the entire exhaust from the headers all the way back, but I actually like my exhaust and its sound.
Thanks,
