Default Please help with CKF trick

I don’t fully understand what side of the wire splice to cut? It says depin or cut it at the plug, but I would think it would make more sense to cut them on the other side of the spice so you still have a signal going into the ECU? how is this helping with the CEL? wouldnt it create another? http://technet.ff-squad.com/ckftrick.htm

Wouldn’t C1 and C11 just be dead wires anyway with no sensor at the end of them?
Could this mod be done with just cutting and no splicing?

Come on guys I really need help with this. I have searched everywhere can’t find out why this didn’t fix the code 54. Does this trick not work with d-series or something?
