Default pistons/wall clearance

how loose can you run the clearances?
cylinder measers 3.198 and pistons measure 3.1914
im thinking .0066 is a bit to loose
granted this is a beater turbo motor

It matters what piston your talking about.A Ross piston will work at that clearance, but a SRP will make alot of noise when its cold.

I will say this I ran vitaras which run a little loose and had my rings gaps on the wide side, now I am having to pull the bottom end apart because something is screwed..so be careful blow-by will not hurt alot on a NA motor but on a turbo it will rob you of power and damage your turbo..

That's way too much for stock pistons.
