Default pistons in ls/vtec

i am trying to build a ls/vtec. just wondering if i need a brand new sets of pistons or can use the used ones coming with the head. thanks.

pistons that come with the head?
as of those from your GSR

well raise your compression on your LS/VTEC
and upgrade your connecting rods at the same time
if you want to use honda OEM buy the CTR pistons..

actually, these are the setups that i have in my mind. just asking if
ctr pistons should be brand new or not. thanks for ur reply tho.
b18b motor
b16 head
gsr cam
aem cam gear
p28 (chipped and reprogrammed)
header but which one?

additional part coming in
b16 pistons with new rings
ARP rod bolts
bearings
golden eagle oil adaptor
AEBS Intake manifold
fuel pump/new fuel rail
with pr3 pistons with ls rings, the compression ratio came out to 11.6.

pistons dont have to be new but the rings have to be new
and unless your connector rods were shot peened
ive be looking forward to get new aftermarket rods..
