Default Piston Rings

I'm pretty sure my piston rings are shot, I seem to go through about a a quart of oil every tank of gas, and there is the tell tale blue smoke coming from my exhaust. I was wondering how hard a job it is to replace the rings? I was looking at my Helms manual and it looks like something I would be willing to attempt rather than paying 1000 bucks labor to have someone else do it. Is it particularly hard, has anyone had any experience with it? After doing it once would you try to do it again, or is it just not worth the hassle? Thnx

Your going to need a few tools and stuff......
check out http://www.c-speedracing.com there how-to and FAQ are awesome with a lot of pictures.
Your also going to need a lot of patience. If this is your daily driver don't expect to have it for a week. Little things that you run into will slow you down, especially your first time.
