Default pissed off. main seal HELP

im building my engine back up, and when torquing my main seal back down (9ftlbs) 2 bolts snapped..
IM SUPER PISSED.
do you think its okay if i have to bolts broken holding the main seal on? its got liquid gasket all the way down and its fairly tight on there.

or do you think i should dis-assemble everything and get the machine shop to take the snapped bolts out..

HELP! PISSED OFF!

Take it off and remove the broken studs...you dont want that seal to open up and lose all your oil

Don't torque them next time unless you have an inch pounds torque wrench, you'll just snap them off using a big torque wrench at that low of a setting, happens all the time. Just tighten them "snug" by hand is all you need to do, you don't need a torque spec on them...
