ok. been getting a parts list together and decided to just get a full gasket set and knock it out all at once. ive never taken on a task this large(yeah its large for me), but i want to learn, tinkering around with a car is my only form of stress relief.
anyway, the question about the set...what is the gasket in this pic located above and touching the vc and oil pan gaskets and below the valve stem seals?

Timing cover gasket is the noodle looking one in middle. The long line one

broke my gasket set open when i got it. the only problem i found it that all the valve seals(and springs around the seal) are the same color. are these usually colored differently to help detemine whats for intake and exhaust? is it ok to just slap them all on being the same?
