My car has been idling low and dieing, but when it dies it wont start. sometimes when I am driving my car will stutter and backfire, and sometimes die all together, but other times it drives great. My car died and wouldn't start, I could turn over the motor many times but still no start, then I jump started it and it started immediately. I am really confused and wonder if it could be the PGM FI relay. I have msd ignition with hondata as well and I wonder if it could be the ignitor in the distributor? any help at all would be appreciated.

 

If you hear the fuel pump running for the 2 seconds the CEL is on when the ignition is first turned on, your main relay is probably OK. Your condition sounds more like an ignition problem. Start by making sure the rotor in the distributor didn't lose the locking screw. You have too many other mods for me to guess at any further diagnosis.

maybe ur battery sux...also try your distributor, sparkplugs wires, and timing...

 

it wasn't the PGM FI relay, I'll try the other ideas
